Urinalysis
The UA studies both the chemistry and the sediment of the urine. A brief chemical reaction provides a tremendous amount of data. The chemical data provides the veterinarian with insight into the health of the kidneys, urinary bladder and general metabolism. The sediment is especially valuable because dogs and cats wrestle with urinary crystals. Many crystals have a characteristic shape that allows us to define a treatment plan. |
