The X-Ray (Radiograph) is not just for bones. By performing a compartment specific technique we can visualize the internal organs of the dog and cat. In the chest we can see the Heart, Lungs, the Windpipe and the Great Vessels. In the abdomen we can visualize all the major organs including the Liver, Kidneys, Stomach, Intestines and Bladder. The ability to see the internal organs and knowing how the shape deviates from normal provides the vet a powerful diagnostic tool. |
